Thompson Island fetes USA Today Best Beer Garden win

When USA Today released its list of the top 10 beer gardens in the United States last fall, Thompson Island Brewing Company was among the readers’ top picks.

“We were thrilled to bring this recognition to Rehoboth,” said Nelia Dolan, Southern Delaware Brewing vice president. “But we did not have a chance to celebrate with the staff until the weather got warmer."

Staff members recently celebrated the win with a small summer kickoff party. Attendees enjoyed cornhole, giant Jenga, ping-pong and Connect 4, in addition to live music.

Dolan said, “From families and friends to business networking events and bachelorette parties, we are creating a welcoming space for all."

The beer garden will expand its events this summer, offering movie nights, pinball nights and culinary demonstrations from Chef Dru Tevis.
